Scouting-in-Schools WC 2026
Happy World Teachers’ Day! Today, we celebrate our teachers across South Africa who give so much more than what is required of them. In addition to making sure children and young people receive an education, there are also teachers who dedicate their time, energy and passion to Scouting, helping young people discover their potential both inside and outside the classroom.
From KwaZulu-Natal to the Western Cape, and across all our Regions, Scouting in Schools continues to make a meaningful difference in communities across the country. In rural areas, low-income communities, and townships, dedicated teachers and Scouting volunteers are creating opportunities for young people to learn, grow and thrive.
Through Scouting, young people are encouraged to learn by doing, develop leadership skills, build confidence, embrace responsibility and live by the Scout values. These experiences go beyond the school curriculum, equipping young people with practical skills and resilience that will help them navigate life with confidence and purpose.
To every teacher who gives their time to Scouting, and to every Scouting volunteer, parent and supporter who helps create these opportunities , THANK YOU. Your commitment, encouragement and belief in our young Scouting members are inspiring them to believe in themselves, discover their abilities and reach for their full potential.
